Your suggestions for corrections to the text or maps of ‘Monuments of Syria’ would be particularly welcome. Although the text was as up to date as possible at the time the last edition went to press (mid-2008), there are often changes — for example in the way sites are presented or buildings are interpreted. In addition new discoveries are often made as there are numerous sites under active research programs at any one time in Syria. Finally, new roads are built providing easier access to
sites that were once difficult to reach.

If you see any significant changes that need to be followed up, your comments would be most welcome. Likewise, in a work that attempts to keep track of so many sites it is impossible for once person to be confident that the information conveyed is always correct and up to date. You might
also have made your own ‘discovery’ in Syria that you think warrants coverage in a future edition.

It is also planned to expand the number of sites covered in supplementary entries on this website.

Your suggestions, corrections and comments (especially if accompanied by photographs) would therefore be most welcome and will help to ensure that ‘Monuments of Syria’ remains the indispensible companion for any serious traveler in Syria.
